Shane Built Co plans and delivers residential remodels, custom homes, commercial renovations, tenant upfits, custom casework, and selective ground-up commercial projects across the Midlands — with modern building science, clear communication, and jobsite standards that protect the building long after closeout.
02 — What we build
We plan for what's underneath the finish before we start tearing anything open or breaking ground. Whether we're framing a custom home or upfitting an existing tenant space, the same standards apply.
Kitchens, baths, additions, and full-house renovations where comfort, durability, and air quality matter as much as how the finish looks.

04 — The difference
Modern building science isn't a finish. It's how we plan, sequence, and detail the work — so the building performs the way it should once you're living or working in it. These decisions matter most before framing closes — which is why they shape every custom home and ground-up commercial build we touch.
Drainage, sun path, exterior assemblies, air-barrier continuity, blower-door target.
"We make decisions before you can't fix them anymore."Air sealing, drainage planes, vapor management, capillary breaks.
"Your build won't grow mold in five years."Mechanical ventilation, balanced air, IAQ-aware finishes, low-VOC specs.
"Rooms feel right — not stuffy, not chemical."Detail at transitions, flashing, fastener and material compatibility.
"What's behind the drywall lasts as long as the finish."Wear-rated finishes, repairability, real-world cleaning, replacement parts.
"You're not redoing this in seven years."05 — Process
A 30-min call to understand the project, the goal, and the fit. No charge.
Field notes, feasibility flags, code path, and next-step recommendations.
A scope you can read, a budget that holds up, and a schedule that makes sense.
Weekly photo updates, daily site cleanup, and one point of contact through the whole job.
Punch, walk-through, warranty packet, as-built documentation.
06 — Founder
Shane is a South Carolina native who spent his early career in marketing and sales before moving full-time into construction. He started Shane Built Co in 2015 to build the kind of work he kept seeing missing in the Midlands — the project where the planning behind the finish was as carefully thought-through as the finish itself.
He's still on every project. Site walks, scope decisions, framing reviews on custom homes, and the punch list at the end — that's him, not a sales rep handing off to a foreman.
"A good build is not just the finish you see. It's the planning, sequencing, and hidden details that keep the building working — long after we hand you the keys."
08 — In their words
"They walked me through the envelope detail before I asked. We're three years in, no callbacks. That tells you what kind of builder he is."
"We needed the upfit done while the business next door stayed open. They sequenced it, kept the dust contained, and we hit our open date. That's harder than it sounds."
"The communication during the build was the difference. Weekly photo updates, real timelines, and someone actually picked up when I called. The finished space holds up exactly the way Shane said it would."
Testimonials are illustrative — real, named quotes from past clients (including at least one custom-home and one commercial-new-build owner) will be sourced before launch.
